Lisa Fox-ThomasDr. Fox-Thomas serves as the Coordinator of Audiology Services at the Speech and Hearing Center where she has worked since 2003.  She graduated from the University of Virginia with a Ph.D. in Communication Disorders.  Previously, she received a master’s degree in Audiology from UNCG and a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. 
 
Dr. Fox-Thomas specializes in the evaluation and management of tinnitus, sound sensitivity disorders, and auditory processing disorder.  She is a certified health coach (CHC) and HeartMath practitioner.  Dr. Fox-Thomas also offers integrated listening systems (iLs) and Interactive Metronome (IM) training and is a certified Dangerous Decibels educator.  She teaches both in the classroom and clinic and mentors doctoral students in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.  Dr. Fox-Thomas has presented her clinical work and research at a local, state, and national level.
